January 2014 LGBT Events in Ft. Lauderdale

On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars. Monday, January 6  – Opening Reception – Two new exhibits: Dear Abby: Letters and Advice on Homosexuality; And Snap Judgment: Morgan and Marvin Smith, Photographers of Harlem – 6:00pm. Stonewall National Museum and Archives, 1300 East Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL. Opening cocktail party for two new Exhibits. Find out just how ahead of her time Abigail Van Burn was on issues of LGBT compassion and understanding. And Snap Judgement: The Harlem Renaissance captured through the lens of African American twins Morgan and Marvin Smith. One was gay.
