March 2014 LGBT Events in Ft. Lauderdale

On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars. Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 – Pride Fort Lauderdale 2014 – 12:00 pm – 7:00pm. This event is once again hosted at, Fort Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium at Holiday Park (800 NE 8th St. Fort Lauderdale, FL). Admission price at the gate is $15 per day, or $25 for the weekend. Credit card payments can be taken at the gate with a $10 surcharge. Stonewall National Museum & Archives, 1300 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 - Join the Stonewall Book Club in a discussion of Specimen Days by Michael Cunningham (Pulitzer Prize and Lambda Literary Award -winning author of The Hours). Specimen Days is a 2005 novel by American writer Michael Cunningham. It contains three stories: one that takes place in the past, one in the present, and one in the future. Each of the three stories depicts three central, semi-consistent character-types: a young boy, a man, and a woman.
