On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars.

Friday, July 7 – SunServe Silver Serve Luncheon – 11:00am – 1:00pm (Second Friday of the Month). ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Every Second Friday of the Month. SunServe is a model 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. We provide high quality, compassionate, and progressive care for all, including those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, families, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. Saturday, July 8 – Pride Center Bingo – Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. Wednesday, July 12 – Dolphin Democrats Meeting – Second Wednesday of Each Month. 7:00pm. The Pride Center, 2040 A North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL. 7:00 pm – Pizza and social. 7:30 pm – Meeting. “Further, it shall be the mission of this organization to foster good will between gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members of the Democratic Party and the community at large. Thursday, July 13 – Equality Means Business Luncheon  – 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Sea Watch

Come and support the GLBX and The Pride Center by helping them with their School Supply Drive. Wednesday, July 19 – The Equality Garden Club – The Equality Park Garden Club meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month except December.  It is a Gay and straight friendly garden club with a variety of plant related events.  Meetings include a guest speaker with a horticultural topic, plant exchange, raffle table, and refreshments. August – GLLN Social Luncheon – 11:45am - 1:15pm. Timpano’s, 450 E Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Monthly luncheons are on the first Thursday of every month. The mission for the gay & lesbian lawyers network is to provide a social network in which gay, lesbian and gay friendly lawyers can develop their practices through friendships, referral relationships and professional development. Wilton Manors Art Expo – Held on the 3rd Saturday of each month – 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. January through March, along the 1.1 mile Wilton Drive, in the Wilton Manors Art and Entertainment District. A Showcase of local artists, craftsmen, musicians, and businesses in the Arts & Entertainment District and Dixie Village. This cultural experience brings a multitude of visitors into our numerous unique galleries, shops, bars, and restaurants on Wilton Drive and vicinity. http://www.wmae.org

Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars.  Sunday, December 1 – Worlds AIDs Day – 2020 Wilton Drive (behind city hall), Lineup - 6:30 pm - Hagen Park, Step off from curb - 7:00 pm Rally - The Pride Center , 2040 Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors. Come join over 2800 people at what has become one of the largest World AIDS Day Commemorations in the nation as we walk, candles in hand to remember those we have lost to HIV/AIDS and a rally to look towards the future.
