August 2012 LGBT Events in Ft. Lauderdale


On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political Events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars. 
With that in mind, here are the events I want to highlight for Aug:

Wed 8/15/2012 -August Founder's Circle Event for the Pride Center of South Florida. 6:00pm - 8:pm at: Daoud's Fine Jewelry 2473 E. Sunrise Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale. The Founder's Circle are individuals who make a monthly gift of $100 to the Pride Center. Many in our Citrix LGBT group, including my Partner and I, are members of the Founders Circle. If you are interested in attending the event to see what it is all about, just email and I will put you on the Guest list. There is no commitment to become a Founder, just a chance to meet folks and here about the great work the Pride Center is doing.
Saturday, August 18, 2012 - Pridelines 30th Anniversary at The Versace Mansion in SoBe! 7:00pm until 10:00pm. Celebrate our 30th year of service to South Florida's LGBTQ youth at The Villa by Barton G.This romantic, Italian inspired, villa is the perfect backdrop for our Pearl Anniversary and largest fundraiser of the year. Cocktails, hors d'ouevres, and entertainment from 7:00pm to 10:30pm on Saturday, August 18th. Dress Code: Tropical Extraveganza with your finest pearls To buy your ticket: http://ezregister.com/events/4727/
Thu 8/23/2012 - Host Committee Kickoff Party for the Equality Florida Broward Gala.  6:30 at The Northern Trust Company 1100 East Las Olas Boulevard Community Room, 3rd floor Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301-2301. Let me know if you would like more info on what is involved in being on the Host Committee for EQFL's Gala.

September 14, 2012 - "8" The Play Public Event presented by Compass in partnership with the Lake Worth Playhouse. 8:00pm until 10:00pm. The only stage reading in the state of Florida, Compass and the Lake Worth Playhouse are looking forward to bringing you the American Foundation for Equal Rights and Broadway Impact's "8." These are the words, the witnesses, the testimony and the trial that the proponents of Proposition 8 fought so hard to keep from public view.

September 2015 LGBT Events in Ft Lauderdale
