On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars.

Thursday, December 1 – Broward House World AIDS Day Vigil & Remembrance Walk – 7:00pm. Hagen Park, 2020 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors. Join our community at Hagen Park and then walk to the Pride Center for a World AIDS Day vigil at the Pride Center. www.pridecenter.org

Thursday, December 1 – Fort Lauderdale World AIDS Day 2016 – 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Dillard High School, 2501 NW 11th Street, Fort Lauderdale. Join the community for an evening of commemorating World AIDS Day. Get involved. Get the facts on HIC. Learn where to get tested and treated. Monday, December 5 – The State of Stonewall –7:00pm. ArtServe Auditorium at Stonewall Library & Archives, 1350 East Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Let us catch you up on all that we have been working on. Please join the staff of Stonewall National Museum & Archives for an interactive presentation covering a report on our accomplishments over the past year and what projects are being planned for the future. Thursday, December 8 – We Got Jokes Poverello Comedy Night – 8:00pm – 10:00pm. We have 3 great comedians to perform. My Big Funny Peter, K.C. Guy and Eric Contreras. 100% of the door proceeds will help Poverello provide nearly 3,000 traditional holiday meals to the less fortunate. Admission will be $20 at door or $15 if you bring a bag of canned goods. Each door entry will provide a complete traditional holiday meal. Limited seating available.

Saturday, December 10  – Pride Center Bingo – Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. Tuesday, December 13 – Mack Mixer Fort Lauderdale – 6:30pm - 9:00pm. TBD. There’s no doubt MACK continues to redesign how business people create new relationships and establish friendships - regardless of sexuality.
