Wednesday, January 9 – Dolphin Democrats Meeting– Second Wednesday of Each Month. 7:00pm. The Pride Center, 2040 A North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL. 7:00 pm – Pizza and social. 7:30 pm – Meeting. “Further, it shall be the mission of this organization to foster good will between gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members of the Democratic Party and the community at large. Thursday, January 10 – GFLGLCC Quarterly Networking Breakfast – The Westin Fort Lauderdale, 400 Corporate Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334. Friday, January 11 – SunServe Silver Serve Luncheon– 11:00am – 1:00pm (Second Friday of the Month). ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Every Second Friday of the Month. SunServe is a model 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. We provide high quality, compassionate, and progressive care for all, including those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, families, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. Saturday, January 12 – Pride Center Bingo– Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. The Ujima Men's Collective is hosting our first networking event to build a network of Black LGBTQ+ owned business leaders in South Florida. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars. With that in mind, here are the events I want to highlight for March 2013: March Events: Friday, March 1 – Opening Reception for Stonewall National Museum & Archives Exhibit – 6:00pm – 8:00pm Stonewall National Museum & Archives,1300 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Opening reception of photo essay by local media artist Kim Cohane featuring profiles of creative LGBTQ youth. Kim and many any artists depicted will be present.
