Wednesday, May 15 – The Equality Garden Club – The Equality Park Garden Club meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month except December. It is a Gay and Straight friendly garden club with a variety of plant related events. Meetings include a guest speaker with a horticultural topic, plant exchange, raffle table, and refreshments. May 11 we have a ramble to nurseries in Homestead on a chartered bus and seats are still available. For more info contact for Chuck Nicholls at canick@aol.com

Sunday, May 5 – Miami Gay and Lesbian
Film Festival – The festival has grown from a 3-day event in which 25 films
were presented to the current format of 10 days with over 65 films. The Miami
Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is an internationally acclaimed event serving as
a platform for numerous World Premiers, North American Premiers and East Coast
Premiers. The Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is the first MAJOR LGBT film
festival to occur in the calendar year, setting the tone for the entire LGBT

Saturday, May 11 – Bike It For Life – A one day
progressive century ride. You can choose to ride 15 miles or 30, you can ride
60 or 100 miles in one day, it’s up to you, your skill your personal pace and
what your ultimate goal is for the day. It’s a ride where you can bring all
those who say I’d love to ride but I can’t do 100 miles, but can get on a bike
and ride even for just an hour and in the end raise money and awareness to
HIV/AIDS. The cost is also very different than The SMART Ride, it’s only $50 to
