Thursday, Sept. 6 – GLLN Social Luncheon – 11:45am - 1:15pm. Timpano Chophouse 450 E Las Olas Boulevard Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Monthly luncheons are on the first Thursday of every month. The mission for the gay & lesbian lawyers network is to provide a social network in which gay, lesbian and gay friendly lawyers can develop their practices through friendships, referral relationships and professional development. Saturday, Sept. 8 – Pride Center Bingo – Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. Wednesday, Sept. 12 – Dolphin Democrats Meeting – Second Wednesday of Each Month. 7:00pm. Friday, Sept. 14 – SunServe Silver Serve Luncheon – 11:00am – 1:00pm (Second Friday of the Month). ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Every Second Friday of the Month. SunServe is a model 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. We provide high quality, compassionate, and progressive care for all, including those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, families, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. Tuesday, October 2 – GLBX Inaugural Business Community Ally 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. by Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina (2301 SE 17 Street Fort Lauderdale. This new recognition event with six award categories will showcase individuals along with business and government entities that are successfully doing business with the LGBT+ community, defining and implementing diversity and inclusion policies and supporting worthy related causes. Saturday, October 6 – 22nd Annual National LGBTQ Task Force Gala Miami – 6:00pm - Midnight. Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140. The National LGBTQ Task Force Gala – Miami is an important South Florida tradition. It allows the LGBTQ community and its supporters to honor our heroes, while at the same time providing a vital source of funding for the community on both the local and national levels. The event is produced by the National LGBTQ Task Force, the oldest national organization dedicated to achieving equality for LGBTQ people, and also benefits dozens of organizations serving the Miami-Dade LGBTQ community. The National LGBTQ Task Force is proud to announce longtime South Florida activists and philanthropists Charles Million and Tim Nardi will receive the 2018 Eddy McIntyre Community Service Award. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars. With that in mind, here are the events I want to highlight for March 2013: March Events: Friday, March 1 – Opening Reception for Stonewall National Museum & Archives Exhibit – 6:00pm – 8:00pm Stonewall National Museum & Archives,1300 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Opening reception of photo essay by local media artist Kim Cohane featuring profiles of creative LGBTQ youth. Kim and many any artists depicted will be present.
