March 2018 LGBT Events in Ft Lauderdale

On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars.

Thursday, March 1 – GLLN Social Luncheon – 11:45am - 1:15pm. Timpano Chophouse, 450 E Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Monthly luncheons are on the first Thursday of every month. The mission for the gay & lesbian lawyers network is to provide a social network in which gay, lesbian and gay friendly lawyers can develop their practices through friendships, referral relationships and professional development. Sunday, March 4 – Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida’s Mad Hatter’s Fundraising Brunch  11:30am. Pier 66 Hotel. 2301 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316. Join us on Sunday, March 4th at 11:30 at the beautiful Pier 66 Hotel for GMCSF’s Fourth Annual Fundraising Brunch! Friday, March 9 – SunServe Silver Serve Luncheon – 11:00am – 1:00pm (Second Friday of the Month). ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Every Second Friday of the Month. SunServe is a model 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. We provide high quality, compassionate, and progressive care for all, including those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, families, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. Saturday, March 10 – Pride Center Bingo – Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. Wednesday, March 14 – Dolphin Democrats Meeting – Second Wednesday of Each Month. 7:00pm. The Pride Center, 2040 A North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL. 7:00 pm – Pizza and social. 7:30 pm – Meeting. “Further, it shall be the mission of this organization to foster good will between gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members of the Democratic Party and the community at large. Saturday, March 17 – Wilton Manors Art Expo – Held on the 3rd Saturday of each month – 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. January through March, along the 1.1 mile Wilton Drive, in the Wilton Manors Art and Entertainment District. A Showcase of local artists, craftsmen, musicians, and businesses in the Arts & Entertainment District and Dixie Village. This cultural experience brings a multitude of visitors into our numerous unique galleries, shops, bars, and restaurants on Wilton Drive and vicinity. http://www.wmae.org

Sunday, March 18 – Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival 9 AM - 2 PM. This year, the Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival will take place on March 18th at South Beach Park along Fort Lauderdale Beach. Join us to get down and give back with a 5K walk, food trucks, bars (with alcohol and non-alcohol options), a Festival Village, shade tents in the sand and an epic concert by Flo Rida! You can also visit the beneficiary organizations’ tents to learn more about their services in the community, as well as our sponsor tents for goodies and swag. There are two ways to join the Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival

Sunday, December 1 – World AIDS Day Vigil and Remembrance Walk 2019 – 6:30- 8:00pm. Hagen Park/City Hall, 2020 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, FL. On Sunday, December 1st at 6:30 pm, we invite our community to come together for a World AIDS Day Vigil and Remembrance Walk. We will meet at Hagen Park and walk down Wilton Drive united in memory, healing, and love.
