July 2018 LGBT Events in Ft Lauderdale

On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars.

Saturday, July 7 – SAGE of South Florida Monthly Luncheon – 12:30pm – 2:00pm at the Herb Skolnic Center in Pompano Beach. Call (954) 634-7219 to reserve your space.

Thursday, July 5 – GLLN Social Luncheon – 11:45am - 1:15pm. Timpano Chophouse, 450 E Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Monthly luncheons are on the first Thursday of every month. The mission for the gay & lesbian lawyers network is to provide a social network in which gay, lesbian and gay friendly lawyers can develop their practices through friendships, referral relationships and professional development. Wednesday, July 11 – Dolphin Democrats Meeting – Second Wednesday of Each Month. 7:00pm. The Pride Center, 2040 A North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL. 7:00 pm – Pizza and social. 7:30 pm – Meeting. “Further, it shall be the mission of this organization to foster good will between gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members of the Democratic Party and the community at large. We seek individual freedom in the framework of a just society and political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens.”

Wednesday, July 11 – David Richardson for Congress Fundraiser 6:00-8:00pm. DrYnk Bar & Lounge 2255 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors, Florida 33305. David Richardson is running for Congress to continue my work in prison reform, protecting human rights, and championing inclusion and progress for all! Friday, July 13 – SunServe Silver Serve Luncheon – 11:00am – 1:00pm (Second Friday of the Month). ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Every Second Friday of the Month. SunServe is a model 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. We provide high quality, compassionate, and progressive care for all, including those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, families, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. Saturday, July 14 – Pride Center Bingo – Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. In general about $1100.00 in prizes are given out.

Tuesday, July 17 – GFLGLCC July Mixer at the CIRC Hotel Hollywood Circle - 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Join us as Reyka Vodka Presents the July Mixer for the GFLGLCC - Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce at the CIRC Hotel - Hollywood Circle. Thursday, July 19 – GFLGLCC Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street, 1100 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316. Join us for an enlightening day of educational sessions, a networking luncheon, panel discussion and interactive training. Monday, July 23 – SAGE of South Florida Men's Night Out – 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at Rumors, 2426 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors, FL 33305. Thursday, July 26 Meet and Greet Artist Tim Forman at the Gay & Lesbian Business Exchange (GLBX) Networking Mixer at the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Meet and greet artist Tim Forman at the Gay & Lesbian Business Exchange (GLBX) Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce’s July networking mixer at the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society. Both members and non-members are welcome at this complimentary after-work evening of food, drinks and incredible networking opportunities that will showcase The Art of Tim Forman - colorful and impressionist landscapes of Florida, now on display at the New River Inn on the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society Campus.
