On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars.

Thursday, May 3 – GLLN Social Luncheon– 11:45am - 1:15pm. Timpano Chophouse, 450 E Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Monthly luncheons are on the first Thursday of every month. The mission for the gay & lesbian lawyers network is to provide a social network in which gay, lesbian and gay friendly lawyers can develop their practices through friendships, referral relationships and professional development. Wednesday, May 9 – Dolphin Democrats Meeting– Second Wednesday of Each Month. 7:00pm. The Pride Center, 2040 A North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL. 7:00 pm – Pizza and social. 7:30 pm – Meeting. “Further, it shall be the mission of this organization to foster good will between gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members of the Democratic Party and the community at large. We seek individual freedom in the framework of a just society and political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens.” www.dolphindems.org

Friday, May 11 – SunServe Silver Serve Luncheon– 11:00am – 1:00pm (Second Friday of the Month). ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Every Second Friday of the Month. SunServe is a model 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. We provide high quality, compassionate, and progressive care for all, including those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, families, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. Saturday, May 12 – Pride Center Bingo– Second Saturdays of Each Month. 6:30 p.m. doors open; 7:30 p.m. Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors. Main Hall, Schubert Building. Bingo; proceeds benefit The Pride Center. The cost is $15.00 for the Bingo Package.  There will be a concession stand open and there is a 50/50 raffle. Tuesday, May 15 – GFLGLCC May Mixer on the Double Decker Water Taxi – 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Dockside with a optional Cruise from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. Water Taxi will be docked in front of Briny Irish Riverfront Pub, 305 S Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. March LGBT Events in Ft. Lauderdale

On this Blog, I will post a highlight of some of the LGBT non-profit and political Events that are going on in Ft. Lauderdale each month, so folks who want to attend can put them on their Calendars. With that in mind, here are the events I want to highlight for March 2013: March Events: Friday, March 1 – Opening Reception for Stonewall National Museum & Archives Exhibit – 6:00pm – 8:00pm Stonewall National Museum & Archives,1300 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Opening reception of photo essay by local media artist Kim Cohane featuring profiles of creative LGBTQ youth. Kim and many any artists depicted will be present.
